The panels section (panels management) let you to insert,
edit and delete left, right and central panels for your website
(you can insert three different type of panels: personalized,
expansion and some predefined panels).
The panels can be placed in the left, in the right or in the
center of the pages (in the center only for home page).
The panels for a generic page will appear only if in the page
there is enabled the left or right panels (see pages
section).
An example of panels its showed in picture 1, here you can
see the newsletter subscription panel and the user login panel.
To enter in the panels section click the "Panels management"
icon from control panel and three
lists of panels will be shown (left, center and right panels
lists) (see picture 2).

From panels lists you can click on the icons in the left to move
up and down a panel and change its position, you can click on the
icons in the right to enable/disable, edit or delete an existing
panel. To add a new panel you must click on "Add new panel",
the "Add a new panel" form will appear (see picture 3).

From "Add a new panel" form you can insert a new panel
by filling the follows fields:
Title |
The title of the panel |
Language |
The panel will shown only if the choosen website
language its the same of a selected language (for example if
you create a panel with "Italian" language, the panel
will shown only when a visitors choose "Italian" as
language for the website). |
Type |
There are three main types of panels: personalized, expansion
and predefined panels.
A personalized panel have static HTML (or plain text)
contents that the administrator can enter directly in the
"Text" field.
An expansion panel have dynamic PHP contents. When
you select expansion as panel type an expansion menu and expansion
parameters fields will shown, from expansion menu you can
select an existing expansion to link with the panel and from
expansion parameters fields you can insert parameters for
the expansion. To create an expansion see the developer
manual.
An predefined panel its a panel with different contents
already integrated into Webmatic.
A predefined panel can be:
Birthday |
This panel show all the user that celebrate
the birtday today. |
Channels |
Show website channels.

Commerce |
Show the ecommerce products. |
Fortune |
The fortune panel (show a random famous
quote). |
Horoscope |
An horoscope panel. |
Language |
This panel lets to change the website
language. |
Login |
The user login panel. |
Menu |
A secondary menu panel. If you choose
"Menu" as panel type a "Menu" field
will be showed, from here you can choose which existing
menu you want to insert in the panel (see menus
section for details). |
Messages |
A panel with messages. |
Newsletter |
A newsletter subscription panel. |
RSS Feed |
A panel with varius RSS feeds. |
Search |
A website search panel. |
Send to friend |
A send to friend (signal website) panel. |
Special offer |
This panel show only ecommerce product
marked as special offer. |
Survey |
A survey panel. If you choose "Survey"
as panel type a "Linked to survey" menu will
be showed, from here you can link the panel with an existing
survey. See survey section. |
Tags list |
This panel show the list of the most
used tags in your website. |

If unchecked the panel its not visible |
Position |
The position of the panel in comparison
to the other panels, (a panel in position 1 will appear the
first in the pages, a panel with position 2 for second and so
one).
You can also modify the position of a panel using the up and
down buttons in the panels lists or when you edit a panel (see
picture 2). |
Align |
With this field you can choose where to put
the panel (in the center, left or right of a page), if you choose
center the panel will appear only in the home page (in the center).

Render mode |
The panel render mode can be: HTML, plain
text, plain text with BBcode and HTML with BBcode |

Panel header, will be rendered before the
